Why Jordan Matters

A Working Example of the Vector Platform.

Jordan shows how individual technologies operate as one integrated commercial energy asset rather than as separate installations.

Integrated

Generation, storage, power conversion and grid interaction functioning within one architecture.

Measured

Energy flows and operating performance visible through metering and monitoring.

Commercial

Infrastructure designed around actual site requirements and commercial energy considerations.

Managed

An operating asset supported through ongoing monitoring and management within Vector's scope.

Operating Data

See Jordan in Operation.

The Jordan dashboard provides visibility into the site's operating energy flows and performance.

Energy Flow

Solar output, battery charge or discharge, site load and grid interaction, shown as the direction and magnitude of energy moving through the system at the time of reading.

Generation Totals

Energy generated today, this month and across the Jordan Wines station lifetime. The separately monitored Jordan Rectifier station is not combined into these totals.

Environmental Estimate

Estimated avoided grid emissions are calculated from combined cumulative generation across the Jordan Wines and Jordan Rectifier stations using the DFFE 2023 National Generation Grid Emission Factor of 0.906 tCO₂e/MWh. The calculation combines generation for this environmental indicator only; operational station KPIs remain separate.

System Architecture

One Integrated Energy Architecture.

The Jordan infrastructure operates as a single chain: generation and storage feeding a controlled conversion layer, interfaced with the grid, metered and monitored, supplying site loads.

01
Solar PV

490 kWp site-integrated generation, aligned to the site demand profile.

02
Battery Energy Storage

645 kWh storage supporting load management within contracted scope.

03
Hybrid UPS / Power Conversion

Controlled conversion architecture integrating available energy sources for selected loads.

04
Grid Interface

Grid and site electrical interface monitored through dedicated Eskom, load, generator and PV meters. Directional interpretation remains subject to verified meter sign conventions.

05
Metering & Monitoring

Two metered points, with monitoring underpinning operational reporting.

06
Site Loads

Operating site demand, supplied from generation, storage and grid as the system balances.

The Commercial Energy Requirement

Designed Around the Site's Energy Reality.

The infrastructure at Jordan exists to answer specific commercial and operational energy requirements. The requirement came first; the technology followed from it.

Electricity-Cost and Tariff Exposure

An operating commercial site carries a real electricity account and a real tariff structure. Understanding that exposure — its size, its shape across the day and its trajectory — set the commercial terms the infrastructure had to work within.

Site Demand Profile

Jordan's load profile formed part of the technical design process. The operating snapshot published above illustrates one measured point in time and should not be treated as representative of every operating condition.

Grid Dependence and Resilience

Grid exposure and resilience requirements form part of the site's operating context. Battery storage and power conversion can support these requirements within the capability of the installed system and its operating configuration.

Energy Visibility

Metering and monitoring were part of the requirement, not an addition to it. An asset that cannot be measured cannot be managed, reported on, or held to a commercial structure.

Requirement themes above describe the basis on which the Jordan infrastructure was designed. Site-specific figures relating to consumption, tariff and infrastructure remain confidential to the client and are not published.

Vector's Role

From Assessment to Operating Asset.

The Jordan project reflects Vector's integrated project approach across assessment, engineering, commercial structuring, implementation coordination, metering and ongoing operating visibility. Exact responsibilities are project-specific.

01

Assess

Load profile, electricity account, tariff and infrastructure review.

02

Engineer

System architecture and technology selection.

03

Structure

Commercial and funding structure where applicable.

04

Deliver

Procurement, implementation coordination and commissioning.

05

Operate

Metering, monitoring, reporting and asset-management responsibilities within contracted scope.

Responsibilities shown reflect Vector's scope on the Jordan project. Scope on any project is determined by its approved project documentation.

Operating Performance

Measured, With a Stated Measurement Period.

Cumulative evidence from the Jordan installation. Each figure carries the period it was measured over. Fields awaiting supplied data are held open rather than filled.

Jordan Wines — Lifetime Generation

FusionSolar station total at the verified API pull on 31 Aug 2026.

Jordan Wines — Month To Date
25.48MWh

FusionSolar station month total at the verified API pull on 31 Aug 2026.

Operating Period

Metering Inventory
5meters

Eskom, Load, Generator, Huawei PV and GoodWe PV meters are visible in the Jordan Wines FusionSolar device inventory. Meter sign conventions remain publication-neutral until verified.

Battery Storage
645kWh

3 × Huawei LUNA2000-215-2S10 units. Verified API pull showed average state of charge of 23.7% at that operating instant.

Figures published here are drawn from project metering and the monitoring portal, and are stated with the period they cover. Vector does not publish savings percentages, return-on-investment figures, payback periods or guaranteed performance outcomes for this project.

What Jordan Demonstrates

Every Site Is Different. The Engineering Principle Is the Same.

Jordan is one operating example of Vector's integrated commercial energy approach. Its architecture, economics and performance are specific to that site and are not transferable to another.

  • Load profile — what the site actually draws, and when.
  • Tariff structure — the commercial terms of the existing electricity supply.
  • Existing infrastructure — what is already in place and what it can carry.
  • Operating requirements — how the site runs, including continuity-sensitive or priority loads.
  • Resilience requirements — the continuity the operation needs.
  • Commercial objectives — what the business is trying to achieve.

Each commercial site is individually assessed and engineered. Jordan's system architecture, commercial structure and performance cannot be assumed to apply to another site.

Experience Jordan

See the System. Experience the Site.

Jordan is a working commercial environment as well as a Vector operating project. Prospective commercial clients may request an opportunity to visit the site, experience the Jordan venue, and see how the energy infrastructure supporting it operates — alongside the operating data shown above.

Choose how you would like to experience Jordan. Visit the operating Vector energy asset itself, or extend your time at the estate with one of Jordan's dining experiences. Restaurant bookings remain separate from Vector site visits and are subject to the venue's own availability and booking terms.
